Many Cultures. One Familia.

The Bay Area Professional Chapter of MAES was founded in the summer of 2001 by a group of former MAES student members committed to promoting the goals of MAES in our local Bay Area community. The Chapter has since grown to include a very diverse group of professional people working in city, state, and federal government; university research; as well as the private semiconductor, computer manufacturing and software development industries.

We acknowledge the vast resources available in the Bay Area and its surrounding communities and believe in directing these toward worthy education and outreach goals. Increasing the number of Hispanic/Latino students excelling in math and science-based programs is the Bay Area Chapter's primary goal. We believe this goal is central to the social and economic advancement of Hispanics in the Bay Area, the state, and the nation.

Please browse our website and learn more about our efforts. The Chapter is still new and we welcome all ideas for accomplishing our goals more effectively. Help us make a difference!
